Square Roots!

Endless, casual game. You are a tree. Extend your branches and roots to grow as big as you can. Accompanied by a beautiful ambient soundscape, providing a relaxing experience.

CONTROLS: Use your mouse to play.

Branches absorb/require sunlight and air. Roots absorb/require nutrients and water. If you haven't absorbed enough of those resources, you won't be able to grow.

The 3 icons on the lower-right of the game screen are:
1) Hammer ("Build Mode"): Build your tree
2) Eraser ("Destruction Mode"): Erase branches/roots (and regain those resources)
3) Mouse ("Free Mode"): This mode seems to be disabled in this version. It let you build endlessly with no restrictions. If you like, I'll try to figure out how to re-enable it.

Game was created in 48 hrs @ Concordia University for Global Game Jam 2023.
